Looking for a simple and intuitive solution that allows you to access and manage the servers in your data center? HPE Advanced Analog KVM Console Rack Switches allow you to view and manage up to 256 rack-mounted servers through a single user interface. They utilize a local on-screen display (OSD) interface, accessed through a rack console such as the HPE LCD8500, which provides an intuitive menu for accessing each connected server or serial management device. The HPE Advanced Analog KVM Console Switches support an optional USB remote access key, allowing you to upgrade to KVM over IP functionality, providing remote access and management through the On-Board Web Interface (OBWI). The standard rack mount of the console switch will share 1U (1.75 inches) of front panel rack space with the rack console. However, each model can also be mounted in a “zero U” configuration by mounting on the side rails of the rack.

HPE Advanced Analog KVM Switches include mounting hardware that supports “Zero U” installation on the side and back of a standard IT rack, saving valuable space within the rack.
HPE Advanced Analog KVM Switches support a variety of server connections, including PS/2, USB, and VT100 interface adapters (serial console support), as well as support for HPE BladeSystems through the front diagnostic connector.
Manageability
To protect against unauthorized users, HPE Advanced Analog KVM Switches offer a password option.
HPE Location Discovery Service (LDS) and Power Discovery Service (PDS) are supported when connected to HPE Intelligent Power Distribution Units (PDUs) and HPE LCD8500 1U Rack Mount Console Kit (requires HPE Location Discovery Service LCD8500 Kit).
Onboard Network Interface (OBWI) – Built-in web server provides remote management of KVM.
